One of the most basic things you should do in your role as a slave is to listen to what your owner has to tell you. You need to shut out the rest of the world as your owner speaks to you. This way, you can hear what they are telling you and do what needs to be done when it needs to be done. This sounds simple, but sometimes when your life is busy and you become distracted by other things, you can forget to slow down and to listen. To increase your chances of being focused for your owner, you will want to prepare yourself each day by getting rid of the things and the thoughts which distract you. Keep a piece of paper by your bedside or in some other area where you can write out all of your concerns and then release them from your consciousness. This will help you to stay in the moment with your owner while still having a place to remember things you might need to think about later.You will also want to focus on the sound of your owner’s voice. This will help you to pay attention to what is being said, no matter what else is happening in the room. Think about how your owner’s voice sounds and try to listen to every change in tone.
