I just wish I had found this web site before and learnt that there are others out there that enjoy the same things as me. I must admit I was scared when the skirts and dress were blowing into my face making it difficult to breath. I am really lucky to have really beautiful, long silky hair. It currently comes to the middle of my back and I am growing it a little longer at present. It is dead straight and even after being blown wildly, when I'm out of the wind. I just need to give it a quick brush and it looks like I've not stepped out of the house. The thing is I really love to have my hair blown by gale *** winds. When it blows all around my face it just feels so good. I'm also enjoying wearing large silk head scarves and the sensation of the silk whipping around my face feels wonderful. I now get the best of both worlds, having a silk scarf one minute blowing hard and the next either me sliding the scarf off, or the wind blowing it off (even better) and then my hair released into the wind. Plus, having such long hair blowing everywhere sometimes it's a great excuse to let go of my skirt to hold my hair back so the skirt is free to get blown by the wind, and of course visa versa. My husband bought me 2 new silk skirts and one silk dress at the weekend. They are so full and light that I can't wait to wear one of them soon as I'm certain they are going to blow like crazy if we get a strong enough wind. I can't wait to write about it. I'll be wearing my hair down, but rest assured I will be taking a silk scarf with me.

60 Mph Gusts And A Pleated Silk Skirt

No sign of any strong winds here, so a story from the past. Earlier this year we had a day of gales and gusts of wind up to 60 mph, maybe even stronger. As I looked out the window at home and watched the trees swaying and bending in the wind a decision had to be made. Skirt or dress? I decided on a skirt. A calf length white skirt. Silk, obviously, pleated, definitely. It wasn't cold so I could wear a matching silk blouse. I took a large silk headscarf with me as well.
My hair was freshly washed and was just perfect for the time ahead.

The wind when I left the house was probably around 30–35 mph and enough to take hold of my skirt and send it flapping around my legs. My silk blouse was whipped across me and my hair was sent flying around my head. My silk scarf was blown in my hand as well. What a perfect start to the day. I drove to the sea as fast as I could and on the way witnessed many people struggling in the wind, male and female alike. I arrived and parked the car. The wind was certainly stronger here and blowing uninterrupted from the sea. A gust hit the car and rocked it. That gave me a clue as to just how strong the wind was blowing out there.
I debated about taking props such as a handbag or umbrella, but decided against it. I was going to need both hands at some point to hold on to my skirt, hair and scarf. Once out of the car I stood and decided whether to head into the wind or have it blowing me from behind. I decided on walking head on to the wind. That was quite a mistake because within seconds the wind gusted so hard it stopped me in my tracks and I had to hold onto a lamp post to top myself being blown backwards. As I held on my hair was sent flying out behind me, my silk blouse pressed hard against my breast and sent billowing out behind me slowly being blown from out of the waistband of my skirt.

My pleated silk skirt was ***d against and between my legs and was flapping so hard and loudly behind me. My silk scarf was flapping and twisting in the wind. I wished at the time that I had worn it around my neck so I could feel and listen to it flapping. The wind dropped to manageable strength and so I decided to walk back the other way, but before I did I tied my scarf loosely around my neck so it would blow forward in the wind. As I walked the wind blew my hair forward and I enjoyed playing with it, pulling it back and then letting it go again to it would blow all around my face again. My silk blouse was pressed against my back and flapping and billowing in front, gradually being blown further out of my skirt. My skirt now blowing hard against the backs of my legs and flapping at the sides.

I decided to try something a little different and sat down on a bench. As I sat there the wind was blowing right across me so my hair, scarf, blouse and skirt were all being blown from left to right. The feel of the silk skirt flapping over my legs and billowing out to the side was wonderful. I just sat there enjoying the wind waiting for another really strong gust to take control of me. When the gust of wind hit me it practically blew me over on to my side. I managed to regain my balance holding onto the side of the bench and just let the wind take control over my hair, scarf, blouse and skirt. At one point my skirt was blowing so hard that the pleats seem to disappear and the skirt was flapping so hard that I had to try and hold on to it. I tried to *** some of the skirt between my legs and try and pin it between my knees. The fight I had was wonderful but a contest I was not going to win.

The next thing I know is my blouse has blown out of my skirt and is now flapping wildly and noisily across me. My silk scarf nearly strangling me as it was blown against my throat. My hair was just smothering my face. I slid round slightly so I was facing more into the wind and as I did so my skirt escaped from between my legs and was ***d up to my waist.I shook my head and the wind blew my hair back away from my face. I grabbed the hem of my skirt and tried to pull it down over my legs. As I did I felt my silk scarf being blown off.I tried to grab it but it was gone. The wind dropped again to a gale and I managed to gather up my skirt and stood up. I must be honest that whilst I was enjoying the wind I was concentrating so much on my hair, scarf, blouse and skirt that I didn't notice what was happening to others.

I walked back to the car but felt something had been missing from the experience. I hadn't had my skirt blown right up over my head, which was not to be missed on day like today. I saw the ideal place to go. There were some steps leading down to the beach and knew that if I walked down the steps into the wind the updraft would send my skirt blowing up. I waited a few moments for a really strong gust and then started down the steps and immediately felt the wind grab my skirt and within seconds it was blowing right up over my head and into my face. I waited a few moments and then began the battle to try and regain control of the skirt by pushing down hard at the front and back. There was no way I could hold down the whole of the skirt as it was so full, but trying was so much fun. Eventually I headed back up the steps and headed back to the car.

I sat in the car for a while and watched others as they walked. There was one couple who caught my attention. She was wearing a knee length satin looking dress with quite a full skirt. She had long straight hair that she was holding onto in one hand over her shoulder and was carrying her hand bag in the other. She was really struggling with her dress and inevitably the wind blew it right up. She immediately let go of her hair and gave her handbag to her husband/boyfriend so she could use both hands to pull her dress back down. I noticed he was laughing, but she was not happy. Eventually she managed to gather up her dress, but he was made to carry her bag as they continued on their way. Time to head home.
