Dates in Portland

I like to meet somebody who's around my age and knows the scene and wouldn't mind introducing me to some of the finer folks around and give me a lowdown of how to conduct myself. I really don't feel comfortable making my first time a solo go. I went to Sanctuary for naked karaoke once with the wrong type of people and nothing happened. I would really like to break out into this community, cuz I really feel isolated and detached. Help me?
